This is a transportation designed for young people who move within the entire municipal area on weekends to reach aggregation points represented by pubs, breweries, bars and clubs that extend their service range into the night hours. This service has the ambition of trying to direct young users to an alternative transportation system to the use of private cars. The road safety aspect ties in deeply with this concept in the knowledge that combating accidents caused by alcohol use is also implemented in this way, detaching young people from the responsibility of driving. Not to mention the increased safety for female users. In short, we are talking about a marriage of environmental awareness and road safety. All with a nice financial savings for the youngsters! This innovative service is the result of a collaboration between the Municipality of Carpi and the Consortium of Taxi Drivers of Modena (CO.TA.MO).

“TAXI ANCH'IO” is a “dedicated cab”, at a subsidized price, intended for young people from 14 to 29 years old in possession of the “YoungerCard” issued by the Municipality of Carpi, recognizable because it has the logo of the initiative and usable by calling 335 6429054. The proposed night service range is from 10 p.m. on Saturday night to 4 a.m. on Sunday morning, and the cost of the ride, regardless of the number of kilometers traveled, on the entire municipal territory including the hamlets, is only 4 euros, which can be divided among passengers on the same ride.

The number given will be answered by the cab driver on duty, who will be able to group and optimize rides by encouraging the sharing, if possible, of routes so as to divide the cost among the occupants of the car. The dedicated cab will be stationed in the Taxi plaza at the end of Corso Cabassi, a short walk from the Duomo and Piazza Martiri, a place well known to young people and traditionally frequented as a meeting point.
