CONSORZIO TAXISTI MODENESI Co.Ta.Mo was founded in 1981 thanks to the will of 14 Members who wanted to create the conditions to develop a major project that would facilitate and solve the mobility problems of the Citizens of Modena.
In 1983, COTAMO Members already numbered 41 (out of 56 cab licenses present) and started the RADIOTAXI service with the aim of guaranteeing those in Modena who use cabs a modern, efficient, punctual service every day of the year, 24 hours a day, combined with cost-effective and timely features. We have been operating with expertise and professionalism for more than 40 years now, solving your small, big mobility problems. Currently there are 90 COTAMO cabs in Modena and 8 in Carpi and the services we offer are many:

40 years of Radio Taxi Cotamo
COTAMO for Taxi Drivers
Cotamo has always stood for innovation in technology and service to Taxi Drivers and Customers.
1983 birth of CoTaMo Radiotaxi
1990 activation of Escort Taxi service, to provide replacement cabs to Members with broken down cars. We currently have 3 escort cars for hire to Members.
1992 installation of an automatic central unit for unattended call sorting at night.
1995 Disabled cab, in cooperation with the City of Modena establishment of a cab equipped for motor disabled, which was used by all CoTaMo Members ensuring 24 h/365 day service.
1997 supplementary service with Modena public transportation with the establishment of the Night TAXIBUS.
1998 Holiday TAXIBUS, a service to replace scheduled buses heading to the hamlets in the municipality of Modena on holidays.
2000 installation of the first 50 gsm POS terminals, a national first.
2000 cotamo.co.uk domain registration and first online bookings with Major Clients.
2004 Microtek Satellite Radiotaxi Central with nearest cab search using GPS technology.
2005 Radiotaxi Carpi, Carpi taxi drivers join CoTaMo and Radiotaxi Carpi is established with a dedicated number, again managed by CoTaMo’s radiotaxi headquarters.
2009 Activation of SMS TAXI service.
2009 First design and startup of radio cab exchange with remote assistance and management, a national novelty.
2009 WEBI service. Calling and booking cabs via the Internet with direct connection to the CoTaMo radio cab exchange.
2010 radio cab service with operator is extended to 24 hours 365 days.
2013 implementation of the first co-management with CTR Reggio Emilia.
2015 implementation and management with H24 operator of the CoTaPi Pisa Radiotaxi station at CoTaMo facilities.
2015 GLOBIX corporate telematics ride management activation.
2015 CoTaMo is a founding member of APPTAXI, a national consortium of 21 Radiotaxis and 5000 cab companies; allows cab call with App downloadable from Appstore.
2016 activation of cab call service through social media such as WhatsApp and Telegram.
2017 implementation and operation with H24 operator of CTS San Remo Radiotaxi station at CoTaMo facilities.
2018 implementation and management of CTR Reggio Emilia Radiotaxi central at CoTaMo facilities.
2018 H24 radiotaxi management CTC COMO.
2018 purchase of the first eco-friendly hybrid car as a spare car.
2018 transition to 100% GPRS and decommissioning of old generation radios.
2018 currently CoTaMo associates: 72 cabs in Modena and 10 cabs in Carpi.
2020 H24 management “Radiotaxi Ravenna”
2021 currently CoTaMo associates: 82 cabs in Modena and 9 cabs in Carpi.
2023 Taxi Move APP Created
